Chris Warner
USGTF Level IV Master Golf Teaching Professional
Houston, Texas

As a young man at the age of ten, I was introduced to the game of golf. I would caddy for my grandfather Howard Pinner at a par-3 course in Jacksonville, Florida. The holes ranged in distance from 75 TO 150 yards. At that time I thought that was big.
I continued playing through high school and on into my working days. My father, Frank Warner, seeing the potential as well as the continuing growth of my game would film my swing with his 8mm camera as an aid to help me with my mechanics. I didn't take it very seriously at that time, but it was nice to accompany friends as well as fellow workers in a round without embarrassing myself. I was soon introduced to a full size course where using woods were part of the game which changed everything. Realizing that a whole new swing was needed, I began to work on my new game.
I ended up moving to Houston, Texas, in 1995 and was soon employed by Continental Airlines working on the ramp at their main hub, and working my way up to a Hub Manager. I left them in June 2010 and have been teaching golf full time ever since. In 1996, I purchased my first new set of Spalding clubs right off of the store shelf. They weren’t the greatest, but they were the best I could get at the time.
In 2001 the best thing in my life happened to me. I met my wife Lyn, who also worked for Continental. She continuously encouraged me to play, and with her having two sons, Clayton and Lance Lemmons, from a previous marriage, I had the pleasure of introducing the game to them. They were quick to catch on. I soon had golfing partners again. The best part of it all is that my wonderful wife realized my passion for the game and pushed me to enhance my skills and continually practice. I passed my PATs with the PGA on December 1, 2008. In December 2009 I received my Level III certification with the USGTF and, in October 2010 I received my Level IV Masters certification and completed the Examiners course.
I am now in the process of filming a golf instructional video titled "Golf Swing From The Ground Up." I continue to spend countless hours practicing, watching instructional videos, and reading new material with a strong desire to improve my skill level, as well as teach others. With a quest to enhance the game, reach new heights and shoot for the stars, who knows what the future may hold!
